We are pleased to announce the 16th Forum on Assessment Issues (FOAI-16) and warmly invite colleagues to join us on April 10–11, 2026, hosted by Trabzon University, School of Foreign Languages.

* Friday, April 10: Full-day sessions
* Saturday, April 11: Half-day sessions
Theme: Assessing Grammar and Vocabulary: A Practical Training
Responding to feedback from previous forums, FOAI-16 introduces a training component for the first time, focusing on best practices in language assessment and the application of core assessment principles to bridge theory and practice.
What to expect
*A special session on the Oxford Test of English, delivered by representatives from Oxford University Press (OUP)
*An overview of key principles of language assessment
*Hands-on training in grammar and vocabulary item writing, including task analysis, item development, and review

* Free of charge
* Participation limited to one representative per institution
